Dave Ramsey ROCKS! Andrea, I highly recommend reading his book. It really will get you pumped up and excited about tackling your debt.

From reading SmallWorld Read's blog, it looks like she's had a lot more success with actually paying off the debt using The Ramsey Plan than I did. We lucked out in the end when we sold our house and were able to use some of that money to pay off all of our debts. We started over at our new home with only a mortgage payment and nothing else, not even a car payment. We've managed to stay in that great position for almost a year now, and I'm hoping it'll stay that way for the rest of our lives. We shall see.

Anyway, if you're in debt and want to get out, I don't think there's a better book out there to get you excited and pumped up about it than The Total Money Makeover. :-) You do have to have self-discipline (which it looks like SWR does) but there's not really anything anyone can do for you if you don't have that. And that was my hubby and I's problem - we didn't have as much self-discipline as we should have. :-/

We've been trying for so long to get out of debt and we were doing pretty well, but with me not having a full time income, it is really difficult. Maybe this will help?
